Lily Weisberg is a director/producer based in NYC.
Her short Rare Birds (2026) will have its World Premiere at the Tribeca Festival. It was nominated for Best Live Action Short at the Raindance Film Festival. The film stars Zoe Zielger (Janet Planet, A24) and Tony Macht (Oh, Mary! on Broadway).
Her previous film, Working Summer (2024), was named one of NoBudge’s 2024 Films of the Year. It premiered in competition at the Montclair Film Festival, online with Director’s Notes, and internationally at the Raindance Film Festival.
Lily was awarded the Best Student Director Award at the Mystic Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize in Acting at the Yale Film Festival for her film Studio 210 (2021). She twice won the Wallace Prize for her nonfiction writing.
Alongside Michael Bloom, Lily is the co-founder of Modern Silent Shorts, an initiative that commissions works of contemporary silent film. In 2024 and 2025, the silent films screened with live, original musical accompaniment on Mama Farm in Bellport, Long Island. In 2026, the films and band will tour around the Northeast. Lily and Michael have produced all 12 original silent films.
Her producing work includes: Lindsay Calleran’s i’m really scared i’m dying tbh (Short of the Week Trailblazer Award, Palm Springs Shortfest, Nitehawk Audience Award), Chloe Xtina’s Of a Sexual Nature, and Sandy Honig’s The Weird Guy. Lily was the associate producer on Ellie Sachs' debut feature, Lucy Schulman, which is premiering in Competition at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
